Do you accept health insurance?

A: No. Healthy Conditions is a cash-based medical practice and does not participate with insurance plans. This allows for longer visits and careful decision-making. When labs are ordered, they are billed directly by the lab and may be covered by insurance or available at discounted self-pay rates depending on the testing performed.

What is a Discovery Call?

A Discovery Call is a brief conversation to clarify your goals, answer a few questions, and recommend the best starting point — whether that is an Independent Medical Consultation, a Diagnostic Assessment, or the Foundational Program. The Discovery Call is not a medical consultation.

What is the best place to start?

Most new patients begin with a Discovery Call. From there we recommend the most appropriate next step based on your goals and complexity.

What is the Independent Medical Consultation (IMC)?

The IMC is a one-time, advisory consultation. It is designed for second opinions, interpretation of outside labs or records, and clear next steps. It does not include a physical exam, ordering new labs, prescribing medications, or ongoing primary care.

What is the difference between the Diagnostic Assessment and the Foundational Program?

The Diagnostic Assessment is a two-visit evaluation that includes an exam, labs when indicated, and a clear plan. The Foundational Program includes the same evaluation plus structured follow-up over about 8 to 10 weeks to support implementation and adjust next steps when appropriate.

Will you become my PCP?

For most patients, we provide time-limited evaluations and a clear plan while patients maintain a separate primary care clinician for ongoing care. For select patients, we offer a limited Concierge Primary Care Membership. Membership is available only by invitation after completing an initial service.

Do you prescribe medications?

Medications may be initiated when clinically appropriate in the Diagnostic Assessment, the Foundational Program, and as part of ongoing care via our Concierge Primary Care Membership. The Independent Medical Consultation does not include prescribing.

What if I already have a PCP?

Many patients keep their PCP for ongoing care while using Healthy Conditions for a thorough assessment, a second opinion, or structured planning. We can provide guidance on what should be followed by your PCP or a specialist.

What if I need a specialist?

If findings warrant further evaluation, we may recommend referral to an appropriate specialist to ensure safe and accurate care.

Do you sell supplements?

No. We do not sell supplements. When supplementation is appropriate based on clinical findings, we provide guidance on what to use and why, but patients purchase products independently.

What is lifestyle medicine?

Lifestyle medicine is a medical approach that uses evidence-based lifestyle interventions — including nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, avoidance of risky substances, and social connection — to prevent and treat chronic disease. We use lifestyle medicine as part of a medical plan, not as a substitute for appropriate evaluation
or treatment.

What is obesity medicine?

Obesity medicine is the evidence-based prevention, evaluation, and treatment of obesity as a chronic medical condition. It can include nutrition, behavior change, medical evaluation, and prescription medications when clinically appropriate.
